Registered Nubians and Pygmy Goats at Mostly Minis Farm

Mostly Mini’s Farm is located in the beautiful Okanagan Valley in British Columbia, Canada. We breed registered Nubian Dairy goats and registered Pygmy and Nigerian Dwarf goats under two herd names:

Mostly Mini’s Pygmy Goats and Cherry’s Nubian Goats. We maintain a base herd of approximately 70 goats, including our own buck herd. It is essentially a “closed” herd although we have recently incorporated several “new” bloodlines into our breeding program.

Cherry has qualified for her Pygmy Judges license. She has been a 4-H leader and still enjoys 4-H events and presenting educational clinics. At present, Cherry is the Goat Division Director at the Interior Provincial Exhibition (the largest Agricultural Fair in BC) and is the Past President of the Interior Goat Owner’s Association. We are also members of the Canadian Goat Society, BC Goat Breeder’s Association and the National Pygmy Goat Association (U.S.).

We take a passionate pride in our healthy, happy animals that are lovingly raised in a clean environment with plenty of room and lots of play opportunities.

Our registered stock is produced for breeding and show potential. We are proud of our herds accomplishments in the show ring, consistently placing in championship lineups, as National Show winners and with “Best in Show” honours. Numerous “girls” have earned their Permanent Grand Champion status.

The objectives at our farm are developing and improving:

  • conformation
  • strong structural support
  • longevity
  • kidding ease
  • temperament and... especially in our dairy herd
  • strong udder attachment ... and of course,
  • milk production
